In the event of snow, school will remain open providing that it is safe to do so.
Unless families are notified that school is closed, children should attend school as usual. On arrival at school please stick to pathways, that will have been cleared, to the entrances. If only one pathway has been able to be cleared, this will be the main entrance and all pupils will be expected to use this. Staff will be around to guide and direct children and families in this instance.
In the event that there is heavy snowfall throughout the school day, whilst children are at school
Please ensure that you set off in good time to collect children at the end of the day, taking into account that road conditions may be poor.
If after school clubs were to be cancelled, you will be notified by text and children would need to be collected at the end of the school day.
Should road conditions become particularly bad, there may be a remote chance that school would have to close early. In this instance you would be notified by text and closure would also be publicised on the school website and on Pulse Radio.
In the event that there is heavy snowfall overnight and school would not be able to open
All parents and staff would be notified by text as soon as possible in the morning. School closure would be publicised on the school website and on Pulse Radio.
Should school be closed, children may complete work from their homework menu. These can be accessed via class pages in the ‘Learning Zone’ above.
