Airedale Learning Community
Our school works within a collaborative group of schools known as the “Airedale Learning Community”.
These schools are:
Denholme Primary School, Cullingworth Primary School, Wilsden Primary School, Harden Primary School, Cottingley Village Primary School, Myrtle Park Primary School, Trinity All Saints Primary School, East Morton CE Primary School and St Joseph’s Primary School.
Parkside, Beckfoot and Bingley Grammar are also part of the Airedale Learning Community.
The vision of the ALC is to:
- Improve the life chances of all children in our locality through collaboration between schools
We aim to achieve this by using school to school support in order to raise attainment, progress and achievement in all our schools. With our School Improvement Partner Mrs Christine Crowther we work with staff, leadership teams, governors and working parties to identify and share key strengths and to plan opportunities to progress in our areas to develop. We produce an annual Action plan. Our current aims are:
- To increase the proportion of outstanding teaching and learning in all ALC schools
- To ensure the teaching of reading, writing and mathematics is highly effective and cohesively planned and implemented across the curriculum in every ALC school
- We provide opportunities for communities, children and families to come together. This may be through provision in school or activities and events out of school.
